After the X-rays, I was visited by a "dentist?" , After I told her my symptoms, she said I had one cavity, and that I needed a mouthguard because I was grinding my teeth, which according to them was causing my pain. They also offered a dental cleaning which was another 65.00.  After there diagnosis, I had some questions; for one thing its been 20 plus years since Ive seen a dentist and they want to tell me I only have "1" cavity? I had been to a different Dental clinic (months) earlier for a cleaning/filing less than three months ago, so why would they think I need another cleaning? The mouthguard was the most expensive part of this..at least 175.00 I thought I might be able to do without it.
When I originally went to the first dental practice, this was the only visit I had made to the dentist office in twenty years for a filing. I was experiencing general intermittent pain all around my mouth but not any thing on the scale of the pain after the first dentist did that filing, or the pain of a root canal. So for me it was the case of things being made worse after the visit to the dentist. The original dentist did not even schedule a follow-up appointment for me.
I thought, "Ill get the filling done", it was coded.."19....DO", 2 surface amalgam. They were willing to do the filling right then and there , which made me alittle un-easy because, I had a chance to get a dental filling done without cost to me at a local health clinic, but I thought the one dentist working there was over-worked, and I didnt want to take the chance of her working on my teeth, making a mistake. I skipped that appointment figuring Ill focus on getting some dental /medical insurance, and I find a good dentist at a reputable office whom I could afford to pay.. Instead I did "WESTERN DENTAL". Incidentally , the Hygienist indicated that I had alot of cavities, but they focused on the same area that the people at WESTERN DENTAL did.

Sounds like you got a filling that wasnt completely smoothed off, causing the flossing problem. They should tweak it for free.
So far,I have been unable to get any outside medical or dental insurance, but I do have a little money, so I decide to sacrifice my savings if I could get anything done with my teeth. I was desperately afraid that I was going to use up all my savings, or not have enough money to get anything done with my teeth. or that id end up has some tooth homeless person on the street.
